Ziaja – a well kept secret?

Ziaja

Ok, so I know that I have not been a beauty blogger for very long  but I have been a beauty product consumer (in both senses of the word) for a lifetime. My obsession with beauty products started at a young age and has stayed with me all of my adult life; so its safe to say there are very few brands in Ireland that I have not heard of. So it was big surprise to receive an email recently from the nice PR lady over at Ziaja (pronounced Ji-Ya). I had never seen the products before and I don’t remember hearing about them previously so I put on my detective hat  and started an investigation.

Ziaja is a budget Polish brand that was founded by pharmacists Alexandra & Zenon Ziaja 20 years ago.In that short space of time   they have developed a line of 300+  skincare products with over 4.5 million units sold each month. Pretty impressive work I would say and I am still scratching my head as to how I missed this line before; those who know me know I like a nice beauty product but I like a bargain even more!

Ziaja Cocoa Butter

Myself and Kat received a number of their bestsellers to try so I will be reporting back in the coming weeks on how we get on. What I can tell you now is that every product is cheaply priced and ingredients are pretty decent given the price point; I am already looking forward to trying the Rose Butter rejuvenating mask with Hyaluronic acid

You can check out their website yourself for a full list of stockists but you can also buy online via www.originalbeauty.ie.

Have you tried Ziaja before? Any products that are a must buy? Let me know in the comments and make sure to check back in a couple of weeks when I will have an update as to how I got on with the products I am testing.

I cannot believe I never tried this stuff before! They must not have a big marketing budget :( I will be posting an update in the coming weeks and will try get a current stockist list for ya’ll.

I reviewed the cocoa butter cream that they do. Its gorgeous and smells heavenly. I used the Goats milk products on DD’s eczema, it din’t really help, but only cos we have since realised she struggles with mineral oil (which is in most products aimed at eczema / sensitive skins). Currently using the Olive oil body lotion and loving it, although it takes a bit of elbow grease to work in.

It seems to only come into my pharmacy at christmas so I buy the gift baskets when they go on sale and stockpile for the rest of the year!

Hi Girl With The Skew Earring,
I got the goats milk xmas set last christmas as a present.. I really found it great as my skin is very dry..
I found the night cream fantastic.
I went searching online for a stockist and found it selling online.. I do my grocery shopping online so this suited me fine !!!
I now buy it online from an online shop that was on Ziaja’s main website.
      The online shop is http://www.originalbeauty.ie

Please let me know how you get on with the Olive lotion as i’m looking for a new body lotion.

      Jacinta.

Ladies, I am Polish myself therefore familiar with the brand; I can tell you that Ziaja is absolutely fantastic and extremely cheap! I used to never use it as I thought it was an “old, cheap and comunistic” brand from my grandma times or so, but once my skin started to be very dry and someone recommended to me Calma/Ulga range, cream and micelar liquid – it was so amazing, in no time my face was back to normal. and I love the brand since then! And I love the price!
