TanOrganic Tanning Oil – review incl. before & after pics!

Tan Organic Oil

After a brief hiatus from tanning I have returned to the bronze with aplomb; pregnancy is taking its toll on me and the only way to get myself looking semi-normal is to apply a bit of sunshine weekly.  I am a dab hand at applying fake tan these days so I love to try products I haven’t used before and when Tan Organics Self Tanning Oil arrived last week I decided to put it through its paces this weekend.  Check out how I got on below! The Ten Tan Commandments

TThe Ten Tan Commandments

  1. Thou shalt not tan naturally – only idiots do that at this stage. A bit harsh but its the truth; if you do not wear sunscreen on a regular basis then you will definitely lose the fight against wrinkles! Check out Kats shocking post on what can happen if you forgo the sunscreen here.  Read on »

Decadence Spray Tan Review

I am super super pale and having sworn off fake tans for a long-time I decided this winter to perk myself up by making a return to it. I have been having lots of fun truth be told trying out all different makes and I was delighted when I recently had the chance to try the new 100% Irish Decadence spray tan.

Here is what the folks behind the tan have to say, and ensure to read on for my full review: Read on »

Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer – Self Tanning Mousse

Due to my Casper like complexion I do like to mix things up during the warmer weather (albeit the only “slightly warmer than winter” weather). I’m a little bit hesitant to try new fake tans; I truly am a creature of habit when it comes to tan so It was with trepidation that I obliged the kind folks at Garnier who sent me this one to try!

On the business end of things this tan will set you back €21.19 for 150ml but supermarkets and Boots usually have decent offers from week to week, so you may well find it cheaper elsewhere. The tan promises no streaks with simple, easy application. The big selling point on this one is that it boasts a “No Fake Tan Smell” which is a very huge statement to make.

I exfoliated and prepped my skin the morning before use and I applied the mousse using a mitt applicator I picked up in Penneys. How did I fare? Read on »

Vita Liberata Phenomenal 2-3 Week Tan

Vita Liberata 2-3 week tan

I thought I was seeing things when I had an email from Cloud10Beauty this morning announcing the sale of Vita Liberata 2-3 week tan. Surely it couldn’t be?

I am sceptical but intrigued nonetheless! I’m a consistent but reluctant  gradual tanner who doesn’t tend to stray but for this product I may just have to! Read on »

Gradual Tanners: Three of the most popular put to the test

L-R: Palmers, Dove & St Tropez

So, I have spent the last several winters trying to do the whole “pale chic” look but unfortunately I just don’t have the time to do it to perfection hence my return to the gradual tanner this winter. Time is a luxury for most people these days and to pull of the über  pale/white look you need to be dedicated, and I just was not. I didn’t have time to apply Mac face and body to the bits of my arms that might peek out, I wasn’t religious enough in my use of Spf and the constant worry of finding a foundation to match my pale, blotchy skin just all became too much.
