This post ain’t for the faint of heart. May I present the Maybelline ColorSensational Vivid lip colour collection. I think I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

NYC have only gone and done it again with the launch of 14 very wearable lipsticks as part of their Expert Last range. I was sent six of the shades to try and had great fun altogether trying them all out. Read on »
If this is the face of the apocalypse, I say bring it on! I’m guessing this isn’t the first review of Rimmel’s new Apocalips Lip Lacquer range that you’ve read, and I doubt it will be the last. These babies have taken the blogging world by cataclysmic storm, claiming a “lusciously creamy, conditioning formula” while delivering “a never-before combination of colour, shine and comfort that last and last”. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Read on »
Is anyone in the mood for lurve? Or are we all a bit bah humbug about the Hallmark holiday? To be honest, even though it is a totally commercial day, Valentine’s does have its uses – it can make you look at your relationship with appreciation, or identify the flaws and cracks within. So I for one welcome the phoney celebration as sort of a relationship NCT/MOT if you will. If nothing else, having the above goodies land on my desk it made me realise it’s been far too long since me and my other half indulged in some massage therapy. So last night, after a lovely meal, we went at it with gusto. Hush you dirtburds! Read on »

I received this lovely Clarins All About Lips gift from (my beauty blog partner in crime) Rachelle for my birthday, and how ashamed am I that I’ve only gotten around to posting about it now. It’s an absolute gem of a gift, guaranteed to please even the fussiest misses.

Our favourite Irish mag Prudence are giving away a yummy Lindt Chocolate bar exclusively with Tesco this month. Chocolate is a scientifically proven mood-booster, which we all need a bit of during these dark, wintry days. That’s my excuse anyway. And free calories don’t count, right? Read on »
No matter what Lush do, be it creating a fragrance, campaigning against animal testing, or gifting for Christmas, they sure as hell do it with feeling. Nothing less can be said of their recently launched makeup range, Emotional Brilliance, the concept for which is intriguing.
This range – consisting of lip colors, eyeliners and eyeshadows – is less about wearing make-up that’s in-season or on-trend and more about wearing colors that shape your mood. Emotional Brilliance is a way to wear color that’s designed for you. Choose colors, each with a corresponding word such as Confident, Take Control or Glamorous, and they will be significant to your needs at that time – wear those colors and you truly wear the word. It’s the power of suggestion – if one believes enough in something, there will likely be a change in behaviour.
The brand invites you to take their colour wheel for a spin to discover your own emotional brilliance which I did not too long ago in the Grafton Street branch. See what I came up with below!
I am forever picking up bits and pieces here and there and then totally forgetting to post about them. Yesterday on the twitter machine LikeMamUsedToBake put out a request for beauty bloggers to help her find something for her dry, flaky lips. Her request instantly reminded me of two things that could help: 1) Bepanthen, which I did a post on here and 2) Cymex, a little miracle worker in a tube that I had forget to tell you all about!
