Say hello to natural Irish skincare brand Nia!

Nia natural irish skincare

I am a lady full of contradictions; anything with the word natural appeals to me but  likewise I have been known to part with an awful lot of money for the latest in cosmeceutical products. It’s a beauty bloggers prerogative, right?! Since becoming pregnant though I do have to tread more carefully through the world of  beauty products, as both many natural and manufactured ingredients can cause issues. Read on »

Pregnancy Well Being Favourites featuring Carriwell, Orla Fallon & Argos!

I am putting a million and one pregnancy beauty products through their paces at the minute however I thought that some of the other non-beauty bits and bobs I have amassed were worth a mention on the blog. Its for the benefit of any other pregnant ladies out there that are on the look out for some feel good products,so apologies in advance to our non pregnant readers if I am boring you to tears!

First up is the Carriwell Maternity Support Band which I bought online from Inhealth for a  mere €13.00. I already had sacroiliac joint pain before becoming pregnant and the additional weight I am now carrying is putting a heavy strain on my already sore joints. This awesome little belly band from Carriwell helps to alleviate the strain on my lower back by gently lifting weight of the pelvis. I would highly recommend it for any ladies with back issues; you can thank me later ;)

Merumaya – My new favourite skincare products!

Merumaya
Merumaya is a new British skincare brand that launched recently; unfortunately I missed out on meeting with the brand whilst they were in Dublin and I am now raging after using and loving some samples I received. I started using the sample sized products last month and ended up purchasing some full size products direct from Arnotts.   Read on »

Dry Skin Creams for Pregnancy with La Roche Posay & Palmers!

la roche posay lipikar ap palmers cocoa stretch mark cream

I am five months into my pregnancy now and I can tell you that those five months have certainly taken their toll on my skin! The thoughts of stretch-marks doesn’t  bother me to be honest; they are just little reminders of how awesome a womans body can be. My beef is with the dry, itchy flakey skin that appeared out of nowhere along with the nice case of bacne thrown in for good measure.Every part of me itched and I had huge boils on my already itchy, scaly back. I was starting to feel thoroughly miserable until two creams came to my rescue……. Read on »

New from Vichy – Normaderm Hyaluspot and Nutriextra Hands – tried, tested and loved!

Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot NutriExtra Hands

I would be lying if I said I didn’t hold skincare stalwart Vichy in high regard. The brand knows skincare, and backed by the L’Oreal giant (love them or hate them) they have megabucks to invest in research and development. This results in them producing products with great scientific credentials, which in my experience really work. So, even though I’m definitely biased in Vichy’s favour, to counter that I have high expectations when I try their new product releases. Recently I popped to my local Sam McCauley’s to pick up two newbie products which I badly needed – Normaderm Hyaluspot for my oily, acne prone skin and Nutriextra Hands for my parched lámha. It’s typical that I have an oil rig on my mug and sahara hands. First world problems eh? Read on »

No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Eye Cream

no 7 preotect and perfect

I am a bit of a wagon when it comes to buying things and not reviewing them; a beauty blogger at her worst if you will! I realised just this weekend that its been near on a year since I spent €21.00 of my finest euros purchasing the No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Eye Cream, so I suppose that means I really am a bad blogger :( I figured that if I had it a whole year that I must be liking it so I should share it with you; better late than never eh?!

The Wearing of the Green: Colour Correction for Skin Redness & Blemishes

The Wearing Of The Green Colour Correction Redness Blemishes

I thought this post was rather timely given the week that’s in it, and the fact that the BITTER cold is sure to be nipping at everyone’s noses. Like seriously, when’s the last Paddy’s Day when we had to worry about snow? And we thought rain was bad enough! But I digress… I myself am unfortunately very prone to the “Irish” affliction, that is the glowing nose. Rudolf’s got nothing on me. Alcoholic or not, most of us will be lucky to escape the cold snap with our skintone intact. Add acne to the mix and a milk-bottle Irish complexion turns rather more sour. Thankfully over the years I have perfected my redness covering techniques, so without further ado let me introduce my arsenal. Read on »
