I’ve always loved a good bath; it’s my little hour of peace in a hectic schedule and I also use it to help ease my numerous aches and pains. Since becoming pregnant I’ve had to offload a plethora of my usual bath products as many were not recommended for use during pregnancy. One item I had bought but hadn’t used that didn’t get offloaded was the Clarins Relax Bath and Shower Concentrate. I wrongly presumed I couldn’t use the product because it contained essential oils but when I mentioned it in passing to my Clarins contact she assured it me it was perfectly safe for use! Delighted does not even cover it! I had been resigned to bathing in non scented baby baths that just were not cutting the mustard. Read on »

It’s amazing how smells can be so evocative. Catching a whiff of a roast in the oven, or a certain aftershave can transport you right back to Sunday dinners with family, or a love long lost. Some are comforting like the former, and some not so (perhaps the latter?)! The old-world scents of Oil of Olay (or Ulay as it was back then, in the pink bottle) and Max Factor Crème Puff teleport me back to my nan’s house as she “put on her face” in the mornings.
Needless to say, I’m rather olfactorily biased and I just ADORE a product with a divine scent. While my head can totally appreciate a product with a non-descript scent that works wonders, my heart is won by the fragrance. Since I post from my head far too much, this post is devoted to those gorgeous smellies which have a place in my heart. Read on »
My bath has been my saviour these past few years and that’s no word of lie. I’ve been plagued by different aches and pains and switched on to the fact that heat and water can be a lifesaver some years ago, instead of opting for prescription drugs the whole time. Obviously plain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs have a part to play so it goes without saying that if you are unwell go see your doctor.
As I discussed in this post I am a mahoosive fan of Epsom Salts and I never really bath without them. That said they don’t exactly invoke a sense of relaxation with their non-scent so I tend to always put a cap-full of bubble bath in my water so that I get the added benefits of bubbles and scent. I’ve reviewed two of my favourites below for you; let me know what you think and if there are any other bubble baths that I must check out. Read on »
Whilst I may not be as muscly as the ladies above I do like to keep in shape with a combination of running and core strength work and this in turn can lead to my body feeling a bit achy breaky at times. As a result I am constantly on the lookout for products that will help my body relax and feel a bit less knackered than it does! I’ve listed some of my favourites below for you so we can all compare notes! Read on »
