Ever since the Caviar manicure, Ciate have been challenging us to take on textured talons. Most of their trends have required special kits, implements and ingredients to achieve the desired effect, sold at a considerable price for what’s essentially a fad. That is, until now. Ladies, I propose that you have everything you need to take on the latest trend right in your own polish stash. Let me present, Blackboard Nails, a Chalkboard Manicure on the cheap! Read on »
I read about the L’oreal Feria Pastels home dye kits well before last Christmas and try as I might I couldn’t find out when they were launching in Ireland. I made do with jumping on the pastel haired bandwagon by having several run ins with Crazy Hair Colour but never did really achieve the subtle pastel look I was after; check out my purple hair that’s no so pastel below. Whilst the majority of you will be enjoying the bank holiday Monday thats in it, I will be slaving away in the office for my sins! I’ve also had a bad dose of morning sickness all weekend (woe is me!) so to make myself feel a wee bit better I took advantage of all the bank holiday sales that are running at the minute. Barry M have jumped on the textured nail bandwagon, with this suspiciously similar range to Nails Inc’s “Concrete” offering, right down to the British street names. Though we do love a good budget dupe round these parts, especially with fad/trend items, so who am I to complain! I picked these up in Superdrug across the border on special offer 2 for £6.00, so they were especially bargainous compared to Nails Inc’s £12.00 per bottle (yeowch!). Read on »
If this is the face of the apocalypse, I say bring it on! I’m guessing this isn’t the first review of Rimmel’s new Apocalips Lip Lacquer range that you’ve read, and I doubt it will be the last. These babies have taken the blogging world by cataclysmic storm, claiming a “lusciously creamy, conditioning formula” while delivering “a never-before combination of colour, shine and comfort that last and last”. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Read on »
