Dolly Rouge’s Best of 2011 – Part 2: Makeup, Nails and Gadgets!

Here we go with our second installment of Dolly Rouge’s 2011 favourites. If you missed it, check out part 1.

La Roche-Posay Teint Mineral is a powder compact. It can be used on its own with a sponge for medium-full coverage (oily or combo-skinned ladies), dusted with a powder brush to set foundation, or provide more coverage over sheer foundations (combo-normal skins). It covers redness/imperfections, doesn’t look powdery, doesn’t oxidise, doesn’t budge when faced with oil, doesn’t clog pores and has SPF 25. Consider that all boxes ticked for me! Read on »

Sleek Pout Polish in Bare Minimum & New Eyebrow Kits

Sleek Pout Polish Bare Minimum

I bought this whilst on a flying visit to Lahndan (Baby) recently and its fast become my lip balm of choice. It cost me STG £4.99 however it currently sells for €7.00 on the Sleek site and a site closer to home; Beauty Emporium . The shade I picked up was Bare Minimum and is part of the Sleek Nude collection.  The balm not only contains lovely nourishing ingrediants such as jojoba, avocado, and sweet almond oil but it also contains an SPF which makes this a great all round product. The Rouge Review 4: 9th October 2011

Second week into October and I am seeing too many C-word related tweets and countdowns and advertisements. Hush up already; its not even Halloween yet! Now that I’ve got that out of my system lets do a recap and see what we were up to in Dolly HQ this week Read on »

Sleek Au Naturel i-Divine Palette

Now I realise why I kept swatching and leaving the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It didn’t have enough matte shades, they were nearly all spectacularly shimmery. Don’t get me wrong, the shades in the UD Naked Palette were FABULOUS. But if I’m going for a neutral look, it’s for the office (I’m all about the colour at the weekend) where I can’t really be blinding people every time I blink IYKWIM. Even so, the UD Naked Palette kept luring me in with its siren song and I’d nearly convinced myself to go back for it for the fourth and final time. Luckily, along came the Sleek Au Naturel i-Divine Palette to save me.

Eponymously sleek packaging *drool*

Isn’t that a pretty palette? And oooh look! Mattes! /happy Kat

Sleek True Colour Matte Lipstick #779 Heartbreaker: My new favourite Lippie

Sleek True Colour Matte Lipstick Matte #779 Heartbreaker

I picked up this amazeballs colour during a mad dash to Superdrug recently. The local Superdrug closed at 6pm but I tell ye folks, Dale Winton would have been proud of me! I legged it in at 5.55pm, headed straight to the Sleek stand (after frantically scanning the place) and threw in a few bits. I think I got to the till at 5.58pm. This was one of the bits I picked up. It’s my new favourite lipstick. Read on »

Sleek MakeUP Haul: Blushes and a Pout Polish

Bless me father, for I have hauled. It has been less than a week since my last makeup spree.

Not long after I hauled some E.L.F (more posts coming on that soon) I went and hauled again, this time some Sleek MakeUP. I had a valid excuse, I was ordering the new Nude palette and adding a few extras made the delivery charge worthwhile, right? Yeah, the twisted logic of an addict. The Nude palette review should be coming up shortly (I’m deferring to the wonderful Rachelle for that one) so in the meantime here’s some blushes and a Pout Polish.

L-R: Life's a Peach, Rose Gold, Pixie Pink. Clicky for embiggenment.
