I definitely take an anything they can do I can DIY (maybe not better) approach when it comes to nails. Whether it’s frankening, foiling or gel-ing I’m game. Recently, the pretty hard to get in Ireland, Illamasqua released an interesting range of “mottled” nail polishes as part of their limited edition l’Imperfection collection. These babies are definitely on my lust-have list should I come across them in real life. But until then, I’ll just have to make do with channeling the look in my DIY style.

Dear bob, I can’t believe I’m writing this post already. It feels like I wrote my September favourites post last week, where I was lamenting the transition from summer to autumn. Well ladies, it’s winter now and the big C-word is just around the corner. Time has flown. *boggles*
Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation Review, Swatches and Photos
My preferred foundation up until recently was either Revlon Colorstay, Estee Lauder Double Wear, or Prestige Mineral Foundation. The common denominator? Coverage, and lots of it.
Lately though, these foundations aren’t looking as good on my skin. Creeping ever nearer to 30 (I’m 27 next month, eep!) my skin is (finally) becoming less oily and fine lines are becoming apparent. Colorstay, Doublewear and Prestige Mineral are settling into my pores and causing fine lines to look like crevices. Not a good look. Read on »
