I recently attended the wedding of an ex colleague of mine and as I wasn’t flush, I decided to wear something from my wardrobe rather than splashing out on something new. I settled on a black shift dress and cardigan but needed nude shoes to go with the outfit. Obviously Penneys was my first port of call being that money was in short supply (saving for my own wedding next year).

My luck was in as I happened upon these babies:

Knowing that a lot of young women would be in attendance at this wedding I knew full well that there would probably be several people with the same shoes. So, after a bit of googling for some inspiration, I decided to paint the soles! At least that way I’d still feel a little bit unique!  Read on »
