I love a good body cream, even more so now that I am pregnant and doing my bit to keep pesky stretch marks at bay.Whilst stretch marks are in the genes of course I do think that keeping my skin supple and well moisturised can only be a good thing. Read on »
Mary Kay Sheer Dimensions Powder in Pearl
With the despicable demise of Avon in Ireland a gap has been left in the market that a brand such as Mary Kay may just be able to fill; with a force of 33,000 regular women across the world now part of the Mary Kay Sales Directors team I see huge potential for them in the Irish market. When I was approached by the brand recently I was delighted to be given the opportunity to test some of their wares. Rather than lump everything in together I’ve decided to do individual reviews purely based on the fact that I have been super impressed with each product that I have tried. Read on »
First Look! New from Bourjois – Cream Blushes and Bronzing Primer. A Soleil Tan de Chanel Dupe?
I’m sure you’ve seen these babies about the blogosphere already, they’ve cropped up on various UK beauty blogs and my lust for them grew with every sighting! It was all I could do to stop myself from ordering them all the way from Selfridges across the water. “Kat, it’s only makeup!” as one Lorraine might say. Luckily I managed to pick up the much anticipated new cream blushes from Bourjois over the weekend and it made me very happy indeed. While I was at it I threw in the new Bronzing Primer (in for a penny, in for a pound), which looks suspiciously like a dupe for the much lauded Soleil Tan de Chanel. Read on »

L’Oreal Feria Preference Pastels – The launch I have been waiting for!
I read about the L’oreal Feria Pastels home dye kits well before last Christmas and try as I might I couldn’t find out when they were launching in Ireland. L’Oreal Preference Mousse Absolue – A case of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it (and actually make an even bigger bags of it)
If I had a euro for every time I heard of the next new “innovation” in beauty, I’d be a billionaire by now. It’s one of those industries which is constantly innovating for the sake of it, to 1up in the arms race of personal perfection. There are some beauty items which lend themselves to new technology, and others which have remained pretty much unadulterated since they hit the shelves. Hair colour is very much the latter, sticking to the tried and trusted “mix the colour and the developer bottles and shake” ever since I can remember anyway. There’s no denying that it’s a messy, smelly, unpleasant process, however there are very few women out there who wouldn’t consider the bi-monthly colour top-up a part of their necessary regime. So an innovation to make this process easier and tidier is sure to be a winner, right?
Enter L’Oreal’s new Preference Mousse Absolue, needing no mixing, producing a foam which can be applied directly to hair as required. Is this the droid we’re looking for? Read on »

Say hello to natural Irish skincare brand Nia!
I am a lady full of contradictions; anything with the word natural appeals to me but likewise I have been known to part with an awful lot of money for the latest in cosmeceutical products. It’s a beauty bloggers prerogative, right?!
