Summer is usually all about trips to foreign sunnier climes for me but this year due to being pregnant we have decided to stay put and have a stay-cation instead. Thankfully I was extremely fortunate in that the weather last week was amazing and it happened to be my week off but I will still miss the feel of hot sand warming my feet, the gentle Mediterranean breeze and of course the French wine! Instead I have been making do with coveting much of this summers make-up collections and no exception to this is the decadent and very grown up looking Seashell Summer collection by Aerin Lauder. Pen Liners for a Pittance! Collection delivers again with their Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liners
I think I have a touch of bloggers block going on (along with a ridiculously hectic schedule), so I’m gonna let the photos mostly do the talking today. I do have a treat to share with you however. I stumbled across these humble looking pen liners on the Collection stand in Boots recently, for an absolute steal. So like a good beauty blogger I hauled them all! While the packaging is humble, the claims are not, boasting EXTREME 24 HOUR WEAR. Let’s put that to the test, I thought. Read on »

No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Eye Cream
I am a bit of a wagon when it comes to buying things and not reviewing them; a beauty blogger at her worst if you will! I realised just this weekend that its been near on a year since I spent €21.00 of my finest euros purchasing the No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Eye Cream, so I suppose that means I really am a bad blogger
I figured that if I had it a whole year that I must be liking it so I should share it with you; better late than never eh?!
Benefit Fake Up – Hydrate & Conceal
Concealing spots, blemishes and other unsightliness has never been my strong point; no matter what my choice of tools or product. That said I think the tables are finally starting to turn for me thanks to the newest Benefit product: Fake Up hydrating and concealing stick.
My usual downfall with concealers is that I need a highly pigmented, long-lasting product however these are exactly the type of products that tend to dry out skin and make my blemishes “flakey”. My skin is very spot prone so its a constant battle to find a happy medium between nicely moisturised skin along with good concealment. Its a fine balance and some-days my skin just doesn’t want to play ball. My usual concealers of choice include Barbara Daly for Tesco, Collection 2000 and Benefit Boi-ing and a million others in between so I jumped at the chance to attend Benefits recent blogger evening (Benefit events are SOOOO MUCH FUN) and learn all about their exciting new concealer product. How’s your beauty conscience? Clean your face (and your slate!) with Oriflame this Fairtrade Fortnight!
Did you know that yesterday saw the start of Fairtrade Fortnight, 25th February to 10th March? If you’re anything like me (a normal person then yeah?) when you think of Fairtrade, you think (rightly or wrongly) of higher prices on the shelves next to “regular” goods, and that well off guy who drives a Prius; he probably buys Fairtrade EVERYTHING to go with his zen garden and sense of smugness. It’s far from the Celtic Tiger we are now, and it’s hard enough to get food in our own children’s mouths never mind having to feed the black babies too, eh? Well missus, I’m here to show you can totally incorporate Fairtrade into your daily life, and then you can swan around just as smug as that Prius driving gombeen. First up in our “Ethical Beauty” feature line up, I present to you Oriflame’s Smoothing Day Cream and Eye Cream.
