Cuticura – You need it in our hospitals!

Cuticura

Using antibacterial products never used to be part of my usual routine but that all changed once I became a  regular visitor to our nations hospitals! Its also  certainly not something I thought I would be writing about on Dollyrouge but when a press release popped in from Cuticura last month I knew I had to share some experiences with you and why I recommend that everyone carry around some anti bacterial hand serum! Vans Lo Pro Hello Kitty – Too old for kitty?

Hello Kitty Vans Lo Pro

Himself brought home the above cute-tastic footwear for me a couple of weeks ago as I was feeling super under the weather and he reckoned I needed cheering up! (He is a keeper; I know this!)

I bloody love them! They came in the prettiest, girliest Hello Kitty box; so cute in fact that I haven’t taken them out of the box yet to wear! Read on »

In, Out, Shake it all about; what body parts WEIRD you out?

Scary Bellybutton

I’m nearly four months pregnant now and my tummy is starting to take on a more rounded, bloated look. After a huge roast dinner last week I commented to himself that my belly button was feeling a bit tight/odd; “that will be your belly button beginning to pop out” says himself. I recoiled in sheer horror. Outie belly buttons CREEP me the hell out. They are disgusting; some people don’t like feet, Me, I just don’t like belly buttons. Innies don’t freak me out as much but outies are just wrong. I am truly sorry if my weird fear of outies offends anyone but argh, when himself said he was full sure that pregnant ladies always end up with outies I nearly fainted on the spot.  Read on »

Snooze Rollers – you snooze you lose

snooze rollers

I have been growing my hair the last few years with notions of putting in fabulous plaits, doing classy up-dos and curling my locks ala The Only Way i Essex but, as usual my notions haven’t really translated to real life. I much prefer rising from my pit at the last possible minute of a morning and scraping the much longed for hair into yet another top knot. I’m lazy and I know it and this is why sleep in rollers appealed to me.  Read on »

On the most depressing day of the year Blue Monday… Beating the bleakness post Crimbo

I woke up this morning to Ian Dempsey chirpily proclaiming that today is Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year, so this post is rather timely! I don’t know about you, but for me the months from January to March are usually the bleakest of the year. We’re still in the grips of Winter (I refuse to start calling it Spring in February, coz it’s not. Wintring I’ll concede to) trudging out in the dark and back in the dark, and there’s nothing on the horizon but a long stretch of uninterrupted work, and lent. Woe. I’ve learned to cope with the bleakness a few different ways.  Read on »
