Pixy Softening Body Oil is my newest skin saviour!

Pixy Softening Body Oil

Despite being of the oily skinned variety, and thinking we’d never get along together, this little bottle of golden goodness is my newest obsession. Trust Pixy to come up with an oil even the most sebum-prone person can’t help but adore.

Popping open the (uniquely designed) bottle of Softening Body Oil you’re met with a gorgeous waft of magnolia and jasmine. The perfume is sensuous, yet not overpowering, so you can just as easily slather it on before work as well as before some nice (and naughty!) massage.

The brand suggests warming a scant teaspoon of the oil in the palm of your hand before application. “A teaspoon? Will that really be enough?” I thought incredulously. But believe it or not, this little goes a long way and spreads easily over the skin. The blend of jojoba, apricot and borage seed oils feels luxurious, yet light, and surprisingly for such a product there’s no sticky-oily residue left behind. The oils absorb into the skin beautifully leaving it supple, plump and conditioned. So enamoured I was with the formula, not only have I been using it on my body but also on my hands, cuticles, elbows, hair… Anything that needs softening and repairing, this precious oil can do it. In fact, thanks to jojoba oil’s similarities to sebum, and borage oil’s renown for treating skin irritation, I wouldn’t be surprised if sufferers of eczema and psoriasis found great relief from this wee bottle.

Priced at €7.99 for 40 ml from Pixy.ie, this is a decent price for a truly multi-tasking product which is gentle enough for the whole family. Though if you’re anything like me, you’ll be keeping this all for yourself rather than sharing it. Myyyyyyy preciouuuus!
