I am super super pale and having sworn off fake tans for a long-time I decided this winter to perk myself up by making a return to it. I have been having lots of fun truth be told trying out all different makes and I was delighted when I recently had the chance to try the new 100% Irish Decadence spray tan.
Here is what the folks behind the tan have to say, and ensure to read on for my full review:
“A 100% Irish company, Decadence Beauty are proud to have received the ‘Guaranteed Irish’ quality mark on their first complete organic tanning solution, Decadence Self Tan Mist; the mark assuring customers of the excellence of the product. For those with sensitive skin, the inclusion of the anti-inflammatory seaweed extract means this is a perfect product for sensitive or allergy prone skin.
Decadence Tan was created by County Carlow business woman, Kassy Lucas. Kassy set out to achieve the Guaranteed Irish quality mark for her product “My aim for this brand was to produce an Irish tanning brand specifically for the needs of our skin type, to gain the ‘Guaranteed Irish’ status and share the high quality of our product.” Continuing to develop the range the Decadence Tan Eliminator Mitt (€14.99) has been created to compliment the Self Tan Mist and with 3 additional products currently being tested, Kassy plans to roll out additional products this year as the brand continues to develop and expand”
My thoughts: In a nutshell I loved it! I had my spray tan done by the professionals over in Baibas Nail & Beauty Lounge in Athy. The tan was sprayed on me whilst I stood in my pants (bring an old pair) and I was free to dress more or less straight away. The tan then continues on to develop over 48hrs but you can wash within 24hrs. Check out my mugshot above; the tan in all its glory. Excuse the trackie but I was wearing same whilst it dried in! You can see above how natural the tan is; it doesn’t look orange, just more like I had been sitting out soaking up the rays for a few days. I was complimented on it by all the girls in the office and the best part about this tan is the fade off. I was seriously impressed. I ensured to moisturise every day as per the beauticians instructions and the tan faded naturally. No patching or flakiness occurred and I did not have to scrub my skin raw to ensure it washed off. It faded evenly and whilst it did smell it wasnt the usual overpowering fake tan smells that let a lot of other brands down. All in all I am converted and looking forward to trying my hand at this at home; hopefully I will be able to achieve the same results but I will keep you updated.
