When a scrummy smelling package arrived through my letterbox a couple of weeks back I was intrigued as to its contents. I ripped the envelope open to find a pyramid of lime delights! I had been sent some of new Irish brand Pixy’s Lime Body Scrubber Cubes to test out and I knew upon first smell that me and these little scrubbers were going to become best buddies!
First impressions were that they were laden with natural oils; I could smell it a mile off and when handling the cubes (they look like little sugar cubes) I could feel the oily residue. They are packed full of natural and organic ingredients including cocoa butter, vitamin E, apricot oil and Lime Oil. Pixy advise that one cube is enough for the whole body (don’t use on face, but that’s common sense. You should never use products meant for the body on your face) and they contain no abrasive chemicals or harsh “tear the face of ye” gritty bits.
I used mine to help scrub off a weeks worth of fake tan (fake it ’till you make it ladies!) and I can confirm that Pixy’s Lime Scrubbers are totally EXCELLENT! I love that they’re natural, I love the bang of lime off them and not only that but they actually do what it says on the tin! They scrub the skin but also moisturize at the same time and left my skin nicely prepared for shaving. The oily residue meant I managed to shave my legs and arms without any little nicks and they successfully banished the remnants of my fake tan. They made the bathroom smell pretty spa like too which was an added bonus.
Pixy products can be bought in select outlets countrywide but your best bet is to visit the website; a word of warning though, I recently lost a couple of hours browsing through their extensive product list! A pack of Lime Body Scrubbers will set you back 4.99 of your finest euro bucks! Fear not though as if you are unhappy with a purchase you will be refunded the full price of the product provided the it’s returned in good condition, within 21 days of receipt. That is pretty impressive customer service if you ask me!
Have you tried Pixy yet? If so any recommendations as to what I should try next? I’m really liking the look of their bath oils; I am hoping that they will prove a contender to my favorite Dr.Hauschka bath oils.
