Are you sick of the constant repetitive effort of washing, buffing, moisturising to keep your skin fit for flaunting this summer? Tired of the litany of scrubs, lotions and potions cluttering up your bathroom? Well listen up, this is the only man you’ll need forever more. Ladies, meet NeoStrata Glycolic Body Lotion.
This fab lotion is formulated with 15% AHA (glycolic acid), a chemical exfoliant which does all the scrubbing for you – no more tired arms! It works to dissolve the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, which will according to the brand “correct signs of aging, even and brighten skin tone, and improve skin texture”. As a fanatical convert to chemical exfoliation for my mush, I would be inclined to agree. The percentage of glycolic acid in this product is high enough to be extremely effective, and is best suited to normal to oily, non-sensitive skin.
Apparently this lotion is what the Victoria’s Secret models use to keep their bods smooth as a baby’s bum. So does it really do what it says on the tin? All that and a bag of chips (shame the VS models wouldn’t eat some)! I’ve been applying it to towel dried skin after a shower, all over legs, arms and torso. I have a couple of issues which I was keen to see it address – ingrown hairs on my legs thanks to shaving and congested pores on my back. I’m ecstatic to report that my congested back skin is now clear, and my ingrown leg hairs are starting to errupt through the skin. All lumps and bumps caused by such issues have smoothed significantly to be pretty much unnoticeable. The lotion is also recommended for those suffering from keratosis pilaris, and given my experience I would imagine it to be quite effective for that also.
So for anyone with the above skin issues, or who hates the faff of wash-exfoliate-moisturise, get yourself a bottle of this and your world will be rocked. You can pick up NeoStrata Glycolic Body Lotion for around €23.50 from stockists nationwide, or online from blissbeauty.ie. If this piqued your interest, you can read more about NeoStrata’s skin science and products on their website, and checkout more of our Neostrata reviews.
What do you think ladies, could you convert to a non-scrubby scrub? What’s your favourite way to get your skin ready for revealing?
