The relatively new Hair Expertise range from L’Oreal has been sitting in my bathroom quite a while now, so I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to these gorgeous, shiny bottles of awesomeness!
When they first arrived I saw the “No Sulphates” tag and immediately became terrified. Sure haven’t I only been lashing on sulphates in all different shapes and forms for years? Isn’t that what’s been keeping my bushy, knotty and frizzy hair somewhat clean?
In fairness now the sulphates were keeping my hair clean, but at the same time were no doubt contributing to the dryness I seem to be stuck with (since becoming a little too best friends forever with the bleach). Anyway, back to the issue at hand. L’Oreal have launched three lines in this new Hair Expterise range as follows:
- EverPure – For coloured and dry hair. This formulation leaves hair nourishes, smooth, softened and with a healthy shine
- EverSleek – For normal and frizzy hair. This formulation was created for thick, course, frizzy and overworked hair. It gives 48hr anti-frizz protection and even features a silicone free Anti-Frizz system.
- EverStrong – For fragile and brittle hair. This formulation leaves hair stronger and healthier.
So are they any good? Really and truly they are. I was quite surprised as when it comes to haircare products, the more chemicals and heavy duty ingredients they contain the more likely I am to use them! Instead these products offer the same benefits as some of L’Oreal’s more typical lines sans sulphates, with bonus gorgeous botanical oils like mint, juniper and rosemary. The EverPure Shampoo and the Moisture leave in cream smell beautiful and they work. My parched hair drank the products up and I didn’t end up with a greasy head for my troubles. The EverStrong Nourishing Intense Mask also did a great job. I’ve taken to using it twice a week to keep my hair strengthened and manageable.
There are a great range of products available in this line; indeed one suitable for most hair ailments. The packaging is shiny, girly and modern and they do what they promise. Prices start from €8.99 so they won’t break the bank unlike some other sulphate free products on the market. They really are salon quality products but without the price tag. Next time you’re doing your weekly shop it would be a shame not to treat yourself!
Thumbs up L’Oreal!
