The photo above shows the difference between two sides of the face, when only one side has been exposed to the sun for decades. The gentleman pictured was a truck driver for 28 years, who spent most of the day driving with the sun to his left. His left side almost looks like it’s affected by palsy, drooping significantly lower than the right, not to mention the pronounced bags and wrinkles. All this just from sun exposure through the glass of a window. Scary.
It serves as a stark reminder, that whether indoors, in the car, or on a cloudy day, we’re not as protected from the sun’s photoaging effects as we think we are. The problem is, that photoaging creeps up on you so gradually, that you don’t truly notice its effects. You may think it’s just the passage of time, your skin losing elasticity as you age. But look at that picture. Think how much younger we could look in 28 years time if we take the proper precautions now.
