I was delighted when a tube of Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free suitable for oily/combination skin (bit of a mouthful, eh?!) popped in my letterbox a while back. I was a little less delighted when I realised I was sent the medium shade but no harm done, I simply lashed on a few layers of fake tan and I was ready to put it through its paces.
I did use and like this BB cream but as my skin is quite dry I decided to give it to Henna, my little skin ‘n’blister to give it a real rigorous testing! It was only fair. (On a side-note this cream didn’t dry my already dry skin out, so kudos to Garnier for that). Henna rose to the challenge and was delighted with how this cream performed.
She used it daily and it did not cause breakouts which is SUPER IMPORTANT for most teenage girls. Coverage was excellent; it concealed spots and dark patches whilst not causing drying or flaking. It was easy to apply (she used her fingers despite my repeated attempts at getting her to use brushes) and provided just the right amount of coverage without looking cakey or too noticeable.
It’s an excellent buy for teenage girls who like a little bit of coverage and maybe a happy medium for parents who don’t want their little princesses going to school with a fully made up face. It also boasts the inclusion of SPF20 which is something the Ma and Da will be happy about too!
You can pick up a tube in stockists nationwide for a reasonable €14.99; although I have seen it on offer priced at €9.99 in various places of late.
