Essence have once again come up trumps in the nail polish department. Given that Love Day was this week I decided to do a simple and quick red manicure with a bit of a glitter top coat thrown on for good measure. I used Fateful Desire (a lovely Ruby Red colour) as the base coat with a layer of the glitter-tastic Time for Romance as the top coat.

My manicure lasted most of the week and didn’t chip which is one of the many reasons I love Essence (the others being the price point and colour choice).
Initially my nails reminded me of a Volcanic Eruption as there was a distinct bronze/yellow element to the glitter particles in Time for Romance (something which I was unable to capture on camera); but then when the light caught my nails at different angles they also reminded me of Dorothies Oz Shoes! Either way its a nice, sparkly manicure that requires zero effort and zero fuss!
