Sleek MakeUP Haul: Blushes and a Pout Polish

Bless me father, for I have hauled. It has been less than a week since my last makeup spree.

Not long after I hauled some E.L.F (more posts coming on that soon) I went and hauled again, this time some Sleek MakeUP. I had a valid excuse, I was ordering the new Nude palette and adding a few extras made the delivery charge worthwhile, right? Yeah, the twisted logic of an addict. The Nude palette review should be coming up shortly (I’m deferring to the wonderful Rachelle for that one) so in the meantime here’s some blushes and a Pout Polish.

L-R: Life's a Peach, Rose Gold, Pixie Pink. Clicky for embiggenment.

These blushes get fantastic reviews (one which enabled me was from Gossmakeupartist) and for good reason. The pigmentation is amazing and the colours in the pan really translate to the skin. They sheer out nicely for a more natural flush, and build up without caking for nighttime. Even the packaging is satisfying: neat, portable and eponymously sleek! At €6.00 each for 8g from beautyemporium.ie (vs €29.00 for 4.8g NARS blush) these are definitely a recessionista’s dream.

Don’t they look nice? Life’s a Peach (matte) is the sheerest of the bunch, but is still by no means sheer. Rose Gold is a lovely pinky-peach with gold shimmer and apparently a knock off of NARS Orgasm. Pixie Pink is a matte bubblegum pink that’s actually quite wearable. Not that we shy away from Barbie pink around these parts. Speaking of…

Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac

My cosmetic comfort zone is a strong eye and a tinted lip, so these Pout Polishes are right up my street. Sheer, but definitely buildable to medium opacity as the swatch below shows. My lips tend to be dry, and these are nicely moisturising. With SPF 15 and a sweet vanilla taste, I have nothing bad to say. LOVE. I will definitely be buying more. You can get these for €7.00 from beautyemporium.ie.

What do you think ladies? Could you ditch your high-end blushes in favour of these high-street beauties?
